Julie Chiang

Julie Chiang’s passion and love for her job led her to take the road less trotted. She heeded the government’s call for entrepreneurship and creativity – Julie is one of the founding consultants of Asia PR Werkz. In her professional career, Julie has developed a broad-based communications practice which includes Consumer & Lifestyle PR, Healthcare PR, events management, promotions and publicity.

Within the FMCG industry, Julie has vast experience in the launch and sustenance of product and brand publicity. At Asia PR Werkz, she was the driver behind the successful publicity for consumer brands such as Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Nestle Infant Nutrition, Nestle Breakfast Cereals, MILO, Tai Sun, Mattel Fisher Price, and AYAM Brand.

In the area of lifestyle consumer engagement programmes and events, Julie led the team in the initial launch of Treasure Bay Bintan, KidsFest 2014 to 2017, the Jetstar Asia’s Jetsaver Lite programme, the Martell Man of the Year Awards. She also spearheaded the public relations efforts for Singapore River Festival and the Star Wars Festival 2017 supported by Singapore Tourism Board. Her work in healthcare PR includes clients such as the Singapore National Eye Centre, Mount Elizabeth Novena and Abbott Laboratories.

Julie was involved in the conceptualization and execution of the launch of entertainment channels and programmes, including E! News Asia, Baby TV, MTV VJ Hunt, MGM Channel Asia, Nickelodeon’s Green Programme and Cartoon Network’s The Powerpuff Girls. She also represented production powerhouse activeTV who are the producers for Amazing Race Asia, and Asia’s Next Top Model in all their Public Relations requirements.

The luxury sector is familiar grounds for Julie, who saw her leading the team in client servicing and strategically positioning client’s brands like The Grand Mercure Roxy hotel, Glenlivet, Martell, Chivas, Lamborghini, Pagani, and the Singapore Flyer’s Sky Dining Experience and BMW.

She is also active in Corporate work with Challenger, the Intellectual Property of Singapore – HIP Alliance, SportCares (the philanthropy arm of Sport Singapore), and the Special Olympics Singapore. She has also contributed her expertise doing pro-bono work with the Singapore Cancer Society and The Running Hour.

Julie is an accredited PR Practitioner of the Institute of Public Relations Singapore and a member of the Singapore Press Club. She holds a Bachelor of Arts – Public Relations from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
